Obsesion\r\nis a pioneering Cuban hip-hop duo based in Havana,\r\nwho since 1996, have been integral in the formation of hip-hop culture in Cuba,\r\nand spreading its unique sound across the world. The music of Alexey\r\nRodríguez (El Tipo Este) and Magia López (MC Magia) blends playful hip-hop\r\nbeats with socially conscious lyrics, creating a fresh sound and lively,\r\ndynamic performances that gets both bodies and hearts moving. Focusing on\r\ntopics such as race, love and gender, their music offers a window into the\r\ncomplexities of modern-day Cuba\r\nthrough the eyes of young Afro-Cubans.
